Marrakech to Essaouira is an enchanting colourful port-town on the Atlantic coast line that has been one of the favorite cities of, not only touristes.
But also many celebrities (Jimi Hendrix, Cat Stevens, Frank Zappa and many others) and popular figures from Morocco and the rest of the world.
The city has played an important role in the history of Morocco since its foundation in the 18th century, especially for the jewish community who lived there for centuries, and left a huge legacy that became a fundamental part of its history and identity.
Once in Essaouira, our professional local guide will take you in a short walk around the streets of the old town and visit its Mellah (Jewish quarter) and Squala.
Before you stop to explore the wonderful newly opened center of Bayt Al Hikma (Center and museum of the Jewish culture in Essaouira) where you can learn more about the jewish heritage and the history of Jews in Marrakech to Essaouira and Morocco.
Then you’ll be free to rediscover the city at your pace. And wonder in its beautiful street as you like. You can also go stretch your legs along the beach or enjoy some extra activities.
Such as Kitesurfing, Horse or Camel riding, Quad Biking, and more… before we meet again to head back to Marrakech 🙂
