Day 1 : Fes – Merzouga

Merzouga & Marrakech. Desert trekking in the heart of Morocco. From Fes to the sahara desert morocco. Stay at a nomad’s tent camp or luxury riads in both cities.

Today we drive to the fabled sahara desert morocco. The largest desert tours from marrakech in the world ! We will first stop by the beautiful little town of Ifran.

Where you’ll have the chance to meet the wild Macaque. A tailless monkey that only lives in these woods and is in the way of extinction.

Watch the cedar forests give way to palm groves. As we cross the Middle-Atlas mountain chain towards Midelt.  Errich and  Errachidia before we finally reach the sahara morocco tours.

Hope on your camelback to enter the Merzouga desert. And enjoy the beautiful sunset from the top of its golden sand dunes. 

Get back to your Kasbah-Style hotel for a yummy dinner. And a live traditional music show with the locals.
After the show, let your soul and mind fly over. The place while gazing in the beautiful starry sky on the sahara services !!

Please Note : Today is the longest driving day of the journey. Get ready for about 8 hours of driving. And to make it as light as possible. There will be several stops to enjoy a coffee. Or just stretching your legs and taking pictures.

Day 2 : Merzouga – Todgha Gorges – Dades 

Merzouga and Marrakech in Morocco. A unique chance to discover the landscapes, people. Rise & shine early this morning.

And take a short walk to the top of a high dune to catch the beautiful sunrise. Enjoy a delicious breakfast before you hop in your minibus and drive towards Dades.

Cross the small town of Erfoud. Well known for its fossils and the high quality of dates. On the way visit the Khettarat channels.

A genius irrigation system. That was widely applied in ancient Merzoug Morocco. To provide farming lands & cities with water from miles away. 

Arrive at Tinghir and discover Todgha Gorges. With its high cliffs that attract a lot of tourists. And fans of Rock Climbing from all over the world. 

Go for a walk in the shaded oasis and discover. More about the farming lifestyle of the locals. Before we stop for a yummy lunch. 

Continue ahead to Dades and check in in your  hotel. Before we take a short walk to discover the wonderful hidden canyons of the area .

To visit the village of Khamliya. And meet a group of Gnaoua musicians. Share a mint tea with Amazigh (Berber) Nomads in the  sahara desert morocco, and gain insights into their way of life.

Day 3 : Dades Gorges  – Ait Benhaddou

Drive along the Road of 1,000 Kasbahs. And enjoy a coffee stop in Kalaat M’gouna also known. As the Valley Of Roses. 

Pause at Taourirt Kasbah in Ouarzazate. At Home to one of Merzouga Morocco’s largest film studios. Choose to take a lesson in traditional Amazigh medicine with a local herbalist.

Continue to the famous ancient village of  Ait Benhaddou. A renowned destination located in the foothills. On the southern slopes of the High Atlas.

The kasbah has been ranked by UNESCO. As a  World Heritage site. And is famed for its incredible traditional Merzouga South-Moroccan architecture.

As well as making appearance in some of the grates test movies. And Tv shows , such as such as The Mummy. Gladiator and Game Of Thrones (S3)

Spend the night in a kasbah inside the castle. And enjoy the night without electricity

  Day 4 : Ait Benhaddou – Marrakech

Cross the High Atlas Mountains via. The winding Tichka road to reach the legendary city of Marrakech. A melting pot of Amazigh, West African, Merzouga Mediterranean. 

And Arab influences. And venture off the beaten path into hidden neighborhoods. And artisan quarters.
